What is the difference between the Nikon D800E and the D800?
The D800E is a variant of the D800 that eliminates the low-pass (anti-aliasing) filter from the sensor. This allows greater sharpness and detail in images, but may increase the risk of moiré (unwanted color patterns) in subjects with very fine and repetitive textures, such as fabrics or buildings.
What type of memory cards does it use?
The Nikon D800E has two slots: one for CompactFlash (CF) cards and another for SD cards. You can use them independently or configure them for redundant storage (backup) or to separate photos and videos.
Can I record video with external audio?
Yes, the camera includes a microphone input (3.5 mm jack) and a headphone output, allowing you to monitor audio while recording Full HD video.
Does the camera have built-in WiFi or Bluetooth?
No, the D800E does not include WiFi or Bluetooth. To transfer images wirelessly, you will need an external adapter, such as the Nikon WU-1b (not included), or use a card reader.
